Official word from CloudFlare is that a big telco made a booboo.

"Telefonica leaked our routes and (inadvertently) hijacked some of our/your traffic. Scolding them now."

CloudFlare experienced connectivity issues at some of their endpoints. It appears to be resolving now. Also, Hacker News is back up.
